Bittersweet
I found myself thinking about this word all through out the day. Bittersweet.
Just what is bittersweet?
Can something be bitter and sweet at the same time that it's called bittersweet?
Is it more bitter than it is sweet or sweeter that it is bitter if its bittersweet?
Either way, it altogether means one thing in the end: bittersweet. Literally.
Bittersweet when it tastes bitter at first and sweet in the end; or
Bittersweet when it tastes sweet at first and bitter in the end.
Bittersweet because you gained and you lost; and
Bittersweet because you passed but you failed.
One thing's for sure though, it's nowhere near good to have something bittersweet. In fact, it's not good at all. Its either bitter or sweet. Black or white. Good or bad. They're never supposed to be together. Just like some people. In reality,it's just like passing math, but failing your average.
It's just like that. It's one over the another.

I would much rather prefer bittersweet to be bitter at first but sweet in the end.
Although just "sweet" would be even more preferable. Why are there even bittersweet endings, anyway? Don't answer that na.

yeah, i think we'd all prefer everything to be sweet.
sweeter even if such exists in all the sweetness that we think we encounter.
for the existence of bittersweet existence? i dont know. maybe because its just supposed to be that way for some select few.

i think having bittersweet endings is not at all bad. in fact, the bitterness makes us appreciate the sweet things in life even more.
if not, then maybe the bitterness in the 'ending' makes the people involved grow as a person. and that, i think, is something we must all go through.

i guess its a matter of perspective. its another one of those subjective type things. bittersweet doesn't necessarily mean gain one and lose another, then end of story. i see it as a gain-lose-then-gain-something-better-in-return situation. that made sense naman diba? =)
